The Thunder Rolls!

The storm hit about 6:00 a.m. We are camped in amongst the trees so we can't see the lightning as well but "the thunder rolls" and the rain came down! Rick got up to check and empty the awnings as they were beginning to sag and I stayed snug inside the sleeping bag. Rick kept losing the internet connection so it has been frustrating getting the blog going. When I got up Rick had a pot of coffee and a pot of hot oatmeal ready for us to enjoy. Mmm good. We both really enjoy our screen add-a-room at times like this as it keeps out the rain (somewhat) and the bugs.

Dick is using the motor home like a bus and we went down to Drumheller for lunch and we picked up a bag of free ice from the IGA.
We had a delicious dinner with Dick and Lois in their motor home of steak, corn, rice, mushrooms & fried onions and then strawberries and sticky buns for dessert. Then we played Jokers again and the girls won 4 out of 6 games. This is so unusual for us that I can't forget to mention it.
Got up this morning and Rick put away the rain gear and guess what it is now raining. But it does look like it will be clearing up soon! The forecast only said a 20% chance of rain. What luck we have!
After a tasty breakfast of bacon and eggs we will be heading for the Royal Tyrell Museum with Dick and Lois or depending on the skies perhaps the trike. More later.
