And again the Thunder Rolls

Boy did it rain and thunder during the night!! We got up around 7 a.m. after it quit and packed up and headed out. We had decided to have breakfast on the road so we stopped in Drumheller at the Whifle Waffle House. It could have been good but wasn't. When the waitress came around and asked how the meal was I told her the truth. When we went to pay the bill they took 15% off so I quess that was okay.
Oh!!!! Irene just reminded me to mention that the girls sort of SKUNKED us at seniors jokers, last night. BA HA!!
Our destination was to be Swift Current today, but the weather took control and we decided to make for Moose Jaw and keep the storm at our backs! The prairies have their own beauty, with wide open spaces and great looking crops and animals.
Saskatchewan has three ways of welcoming visitors, lightning storms, bad roads and a big warm howdy.
At Maple Creek we saw a storm front ahead so put on our rain gear.
Then not to far along we hit rain and hail hit us on the left side of us and the lightning was flashing also to the left of us. Finally we rode out of it and we knew the forecast was for storming in Swift Current and Moose Jaw. We got here around 6 p.m. (a long day on the bike) and got set up without any more signs of bad weather. But now that we have dinner over with there are clouds forming. We will be nice and cozy tonite!
