Spending time in the water at the beach, jumping off the dock and swimming to the float, taking a paddlewheeler ride, having water fights, painting rocks, making jewelery, participating in races, skipping rope and
playing at the park and having campfires in the evening and finding the best shade to relax and just visit each other in all helped pass the time.
Rick made a garbage can stuffed turkey (18 lbs), it took (to some disbelievers amazement) only 2 hours and 15 minutes to cook. A delicious group turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Sunday morning we did a group breakfast with scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, ham, muffins and fruit salad. Then on Monday for lunch Brian had brought Queen Charlotte Island fish he brought back from his last fishing trip, white cohoe salmon, halibut, ling cod and red snapper and cooked it up for everyone. Wow was it ever delicious. We all felt well fed and spoiled!

Our reunion organizer Marcy Buchanan also made each family a 5x7 picture frame with a "family photo" stand. Thanks again Marcy for everything. Seeing how much all the nieces, nephews and grandkids are growing we decided we should do this every two years so Jason and Jessica have agreed to figure out the next one in two summers. Already looking forward to seeing everyone and hopefully some of the no shows!
Rick and I stayed an extra couple of days after everyone left just to relax and took the opportunity to ride out to Helmcken Falls and enjoy their amazing beauty.
