Fort Edmonton

Another HOT day in Edmonton.

Jorja, Irene and I met up with Tracey's childhood friend Jayne Janzen who we have kept in touch with over the years. It was a great lunch at the Olive Garden.
From there it was off to FORT EDMONTON.

We have been to a lot of Forts over the years and we were very impressed with the way that they have redone this one. It is set out in time periods. The Fort which was the fur trading era from 1795 - 1870. The 1885 Street, a settlement era of 1871 - 1891. The Municipal era of 1892 - 1914. The 1920 Street that was a metropolitan era from 1914 - 1929.
Of course being so hot ICE CREAM was a must.

We rode on both the street car and the steam train. In between we walked around a lot and spent almost three hours there.
